March Favorites

Friday, March 30, 2018

I can't believe it is already the end of March - does anyone else feel like this month just FLEW by?? We are still having colder weather here in central Ohio, but bits of spring are peeking through. I am excited for it to start warming up so we can spend more time outside with Marin & the dogs. I can't wait to take her to the park! She was too little last spring/summer since she was born in the middle of May...so I'm looking forward to lots of fun outdoor activities with her this year.

I've put together a little round up of my favorites from this past month - beauty related, fashion items, and more. And please share your favorite with me... I love hearing about what all of you are loving too! xx

+ Skincare - Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Gel
I have a trial sized version of this from the Rise & Glow kit, and I've used it almost every night over the past few weeks (under my night cream). I was having a hard time with the skin on my face... it was starting to become super dry from the winter weather and heat blasting in the house. The B-Hydra Gel has really made a difference and given a hydrating boost to my skin! It is a light gel consistency that is very smooth and applies beautifully - not sticky at all. It feels a bit cool when you put it on, and absorbs quickly into your skin (at least it did with mine because its begging for hydration lol).

+ Makeup - Sonia Kashuk Loose Bronzing Powder
I love this bronzing powder...it is perfect for adding some color to your chest/neck and also dusting lightly all over your face for a subtle sun-kissed glow. I'm so bummed that it has been discontinued (the whole cosmetic range has been, actually) so if anyone has suggestions for a good replacement, let me know!

+ Hair - Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo
Loving this dry shampoo that I grabbed from Target earlier in the month. It works well and has a good price point - my only complaint is that I did seem to make my way through it rather quickly, but that might just be attributed to how much I was reaching for it.

+ Clothing - Vici Dolls Sweatshirt in "Pink Sand"
Loving this comfy sweater for throwing on and lounging around the house when I get home from work. It is the perfect balance of cozy and cute, with the crisscross open back and dusty pink color.

+ Accessory - Madewell Leather Pouch Clutch
This was a birthday gift from Aaron and it replaced my wallet, even though it could be used as a clutch purse too. I like using it as a wallet though because I'm able to easily find it in my large tote purse, and it has plenty of card slots as well as enough room for my checkbook, receipts, coupons, etc.

+ Book - The Magnolia Story
I started this book late into March and am still working on finishing it up, but I have really enjoyed reading it so far. It tells the story of how Chip and Joanne met, how their life together started out, and then how Fixer Upper came to be. I love their relationship - it is such a good example of two people that truly respect their partner and value their marriage and family above all.

+ Movie or Show - Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Netflix)
I am LOVING this reboot of the former Bravo TV show. It is even better than the original...and if you haven't watched it, you should go check out the 8 episodes immediately. The new Fab Five are amazing, and it is so heartfelt and emotional - almost every single episode had me in tears.

+ Blog - On Our Moon
I am really enjoying this space, which was created by women bloggers and writers as a place to share stories and connect with one another. I have found all the posts to be very interesting and some of them even relatable. It is so refreshing to read articles that are so open and honest!

  1. I love that little leather clutch and that pink sweatshirt! The Magnolia Story was a good read! You're right, their relationship is a perfect inspiration! Search online about SeneGence Climate Control and SeneGence Nangai Oil. Seriously the most hydrating yet pure and light products I've ever used! I have some samples of the CC I could send you if you wanted to try it! ;)
