Marin's Nursery

Friday, August 10, 2018

About time I got around to sharing this, since my daughter is over a year old!

Honest truth though? The nursery wasn't finished until somewhat recently because Marin was sleeping in our bedroom for the first 12 months...first in a bassinet, and then we had her crib in our room too once she outgrew the bassinet. However, we made the transition around the time she was a year old, and she is now sleeping in her own room (most of the time - lol).

When I was putting together her nursery, I really wanted a very neutral space. We aren't big into bright colors or bold patterns anywhere else in the house, so I didn't want this room to be any different. My goal was to create a space that felt natural and calm, with a touch of mid century and bohemian flare.

  1. I love how this turned out-- just looking at your pictures makes me feel calm and relaxed. That was so smart to put her crib in your room at first, I wish we would have thought of doing that. The prints are so cute & I think I have a similar set of Beatrix Potter books at my parents house somewhere (that was my nursery theme when I was a baby).
