Marc Jacobs Beauty

After Christmas, I had a Sephora gift card to use...so this Marc Jacobs Beauty eye shadow palette finally made its way into my makeup collection. I was intrigued after learning that Marc Jacobs Beauty is cruelty free and after seeing this palette ("Glambition") used in a video tutorial of Claire's

I figured that MJ's cosmetic line would be high quality - and I am not disappointed! From the moment I opened it up, I was impressed. The packaging, the color range, the formula of the eye shadows...I am loving it all!

+ The Packaging
The palette is a decent size, but definitely sleek and portable, travel-wise. It is a made from a hard black plastic material and opens with a small silver push button on the front. You get a good sized mirror inside the palette, and 7 eyeshadows (.003 oz each). This palette retails at $49.00.

+ The Colors
I love the color range in this palette. There are other palette choices in his Eye-Conic range with bolder options like pinks, reds, purples, and blues...but I love neutrals, so this was the perfect palette choice for me. There are four matte shades, two shimmer shades, and a black that has some glitter in it. I also love that this can create daytime or evening looks, so it is a great thing to grab when you are on the go or travelling - because it will be the only eyeshadow product you need!

+ The Formula
I have used this palette multiple times now since purchasing it, and I have absolutely no complaints about the formula of these shadows. They are buttery and super easy to blend out, and the color payoff is huge. What you see is what you get. I can lightly dust them on the lid, or pack the color on with very little fall out or any other issues. I love how versatile they are!

I use "She Was" on the brow bone and inner corner, "The Most" and "Infamous" all over the lid, and "Seeking" in the crease and lower lash line. I've also been using my finger to dab a bit of "Known For" right in the center of my lid to give it a shimmery bronze pop.

I haven't gotten a chance to wear the two darker shades yet, but I will use them for my date night with the hubby that is coming up next weekend!
