Lately, I've felt the urge to do a little husband appreciation post. There is no special day looming - our anniversary isn't until October, and his birthday isn't until December...but I don't feel like I need to wait until those days arrive to give a shout out to the man that loves and takes care of our family <3




Aaron and I have been together for nearly seven years...a year and a half of that as husband and wife. We met at the graduation party of a mutual friend, and hit it off immediately. It became clear pretty quickly that this was it. We were living together within a year, bought a house shortly after that, and were married as soon as I finished graduate school. 


Many of the things that I loved about him at the beginning, are still true to this day...

+ I admire his work ethic and how much drive he puts into whatever job he has. He is one of the most hardworking and determined people I've ever met. 

+ He is super spontaneous...which is the yin to my yang. I am the exact opposite (everything needs planned in my world), but I love that he just goes with the flow and it pushes me to get outside my comfort zone.

+ He is a dedicated and loving father. This is something I noticed from the get go (with my step kids) and I wouldn't have been interested in a relationship with him if he had not been. Now, I get to see it with our daughter, and I love how he makes the time to create a relationship with her. It is just awesome watching them become best friends. 

+ He has strong moral compass and deep rooted values. This was so incredibly important to me and at the top of my list for a partner in life. He takes our marriage vows seriously and on top of that, he will not stand for immoral behavior or the mistreatment of others.  


So here's to the man in our life that supports and loves us - day in and day out. We love you forever & always! xx
